Lantern Making

Thursday 17th September 2015

In preparation for the New Mills Lantern procession, year 3 worked hard to design and build their own contribution. As the theme for the event was ‘Toys and Games’, the children used their spelling skills to create scrabble tiles from willow sticks and special craft paper. Our thanks to Mr Bates, of the organising committee and friend of Saint Mary’s, Mrs Towse, for helping the children with this project. The results of their labour can be found here in our news post.
