Governors

Saint Mary’s Catholic Voluntary Academy is a member of the Saint Ralph Sherwin Multi-Academy Trust.

 

Saint Mary’s Catholic Primary School is now officially known as Saint Mary’s Catholic Voluntary Academy and is a member of the Saint Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi-Academy Trust: one of four Catholic Multi-Academy Trusts within the Diocese of Nottingham.

Parent Governor elections June 2019

 

Please find on this page all the information you may need about the process to become a parent governor at Saint Mary's and additional information about eligibility. If you are interested and would like further information, please see Mr Lobb or Mrs Payce-Drury.

 

There are currently two vacancies for Parent Governors.

 

TIMETABLE

 

7th June 2019- Election letter sent out to all parents via e-mail, post, and with children

24th June 2019 (noon) - closing date for nominations

 

If 2 nominees are received, then they will be appointed.  If 3 or more nominations are received then:

 

24th June 2019 - Personal statements of all nominees to be sent to all parents via e-mail, post and with children. 1 ballot paper to be sent to each family with children.

9th July 2019 (noon) - Closing dates for ballot papers to be returned.

9th July 2019 or 10 July 2019 - Successful nominees appointed as parents governors and parents informed of outcome of election.

 

Meeting dates for 2019-2020 are:

1st October 2019 at 6.30pm

3rd December 2019 at 6.30pm

28th January 2020 at 6.30pm

31st March 2020 at 6.30pm

19th May 2020 at 6.30pm

30th June 2020 at 6.30pm

 

Meetings are held once a half term. These take place at school and start at 6.30pm. Meetings generally last 2 hours.

 

All governors need to have a full DBS check and would be expected to adhere to the code of conduct below.
